Meta-play with tree and painting
It was March. The plum tree was blooming
and Mary's painting wanted to play outside.
At first, it was a bit shy . . . after all, it is a night
scene. It posed self-consciously. Later, it played
hide and seek.
Now, it's April. Outside the blossoms have fallen.
Inside, they bloom in the dark.
